Waterloo neighbourhoods
The City of Waterloo supports a network of neighbourhood associations. Here are the Waterloo real estate areas buyers ask about most:

Next to the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, now a mix of student housing and newer mid-rise buildings.
Beechwood
Beechwood is a west-side area known for mature trees, larger lots and detached homes from the 1960s through the 1980s.
Laurelwood
Similarly, Laurelwood is a northwest family community built near Laurel Creek Conservation Area, with newer detached homes and trails.
Eastbridge
Meanwhile, Eastbridge is a north-east family area close to RIM Park and the Grand River, with detached homes and townhouses.
Lakeshore
Lakeshore sits around Columbia Lake and Laurel Creek. It also offers a mix of family homes and easy access to the university campuses.
